Description
Aminoallyl-UTP (5-[3-aminoallyl]-uridine-5'-triphosphate) is supplied as a 50 mM aqueous solution at pH 7.0.

General Characteristics
Absorbance maximum at 240nm, extinction coefficient - 11.9x103 M-1 x cm-1 (pH 7.0);
Absorbance maximum at 290nm, extinction coefficient - 7.8x103 M-1 x cm-1 (pH 7.0).

Features
  • Can be incorporated into RNA by T3, T7 or SP6 RNA Polymerases.
  • The resulting amine-containing RNA can be subsequently labeled with amine-reactive fluorescent dyes or haptens, resulting in uniform high density labeling of RNA.
Application
  • Enzymatic indirect non-radioactive labeling of RNA by in vitro transcription.

Quality Control

  • Functionally tested in transcription reaction with T7 RNA Polymerase.
  • Purity of >96% by HPLC.
  • Endo-, exodeoxyribonuclease, ribonuclease and phosphatase free.
