Description
Aminoallyl-dUTP (5-[3-aminoallyl]-2'-deoxyuridine-5'-triphosphate) is supplied as a 50 mM and 10 mM aqueous solutions at pH 7.0.

General Characteristics
Absorbance maximum at 240nm, extinction coefficient - 11.9x103 M-1 x cm-1 (pH 7.0);
Absorbance maximum at 290nm, extinction coefficient - 7.8x103 M-1 x cm-1 (pH 7.0)

Features
  • Can be incorporated into DNA by Reverse Transcriptases, Taq DNA Polymerase, Klenow Fragment.
  • The resulting aminoallyl-containing DNA is subsequently labeled with amine-reactive fluorescent dyes or haptens, resulting in uniform high density labeling of DNA.

Application

  • Enzymatic indirect non-radioactive labeling of DNA in PCR, nick-translation, cDNA synthesis or primer extension reactions.
