Description
Lambda DNA (dam-, dcm-) is commonly used as a substrate for restriction enzymes sensitive to Dam or Dcm methylation. The phage is isolated from a heat-inducible lysogenic E.coli GM2163 (cI857 Sam7) strain. The DNA is isolated from purified phage by standard purification procedure.
The molecule is linear a double-stranded DNA, 48502 base pairs in length.
